February 12th

  A terrible ice storm has struck back home.  Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois are reporting severe ice accumulations (February 11th event).  Power lines, trees, limbs, and power poles have been broken by the weight of the ice.  The NWS in Paducah, Kentucky is reporting more than 1" of ice in some their counties.  See full report here:

  The ice storm hit Massac County, Illinois hard.  These photographs are from Kim Jackson - the Round Knob area of the county.  John Logeman also reports heavy icing just north of this area.  He reports a lot of tree damage.
